A web based platform delivering Social and Emotional Learning into K-12 classrooms. An exciting project and one with real potential to positively impact the lives of millions of students. My work on the platform included developing product vision & roadmaps, overall product development, content development and educational game design.

A really exciting product with a vision of making teachers', students' and parents' lives better. I was lucky enough to join the team at a stage where the strategy was underdeveloped, my impact can best be seen in the quality and creativity of "storybook" content, development of the curriculum, and decision to produce a digital teacher platform. Personally it was wonderful to work with such a talented team, have the opportunity to develop employees

A bit janky and never really complete, this was my first experience releasing a personal project on iOS. My goal was to complete a title & exhibit it at a convention. I learned a lot, it was a great opportunity to get hands on with social media and support a release, and the PAX Australia convention was a chance to experiment, and learn how to develop fans and attract a community.

Another great experience with a tenacious, young and talented team. My time on the project was spent developing workflows, documenting mechanics, conceptualising weapons, vehicles, resources, clothing and other materials. This was my first engagement working heavily in economy design and it was a lot of fun to create intelligent systems from scratch that allowed for flexibility in the economy, while keeping values consistent and minimising the design overhead for any changes or additions.

I joined the team as the founding designer, building a small design team, later adopting cross-discipline practices (with a little nudging, admittedly). This was my first experience working in education and where the success criteria for digital content was other than nebulous "fun". My passion for user experience and respect for clear and two way channels of communication with the end user came from this experience.

It was a great pleasure to remotely mentor a small team - in a part of the world with little support for creative industries - working on their first commercial release. I took on disparate responsibilities but my impact is most felt in the design, visuals and narrative, fleshing out an hours long interactive story in collaboration with the studio director and an additional writer.

KangaZoo is a mobile simulation game that promotes the beauty and diversity of Australian wildlife.

You play as an Australian park ranger in training, your job is to explore the great outdoors to rescue injured native animals and discover local flora.

Rescue, rehabilitate and release animals to become a better ranger and gain access to national parks across Australia, unlocking a whole new world of native flora and fauna.

Made in collaboration with Chaos Theory Games, Pentaquest and Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
